Michael Vincent McCann founded MVM Associates in February 1997 using his knowledge as a U.S. Department of Energy Grant Specialist to become the first company in Pennsylvania to specialize in economic incentives such as government funding for companies. Since then, MVM has expanded its services to offer nationwide expertise to companies ranging from international multi-billion dollar firms such as ING, Siemens, United Health Services, and Cigna and small to medium sized firms with single locations in the Philadelphia area. To date, MVM has served over 200 companies and obtained tens of millions of dollars in competitive grants and tax credits for our clients.

- Experience: MVM has been in business since 1997. We have assisted hundreds of firms in obtaining and managing government funded programs. In Pennsylvania alone, we have worked with Pennsylvania's Governor's Action Team on over 20 projects throughout the Commonwealth. Our clients include: Siemens Medical Solutions; Cigna; SunGard/SCT; Universal Health Services; Primavera Systems; ING-USA; Iron Mountain Corp; and many more. Our awards for our clients have totaled over $30 million.
- Straight Answers: When dealing with government funds, the most important thing is
that our client’s understand all of the rules, assurances, outcomes, etc. Before getting
started, we will explain to our clients all of the terms and conditions of the programs
so your company can make the right decision as to whether or not to participate. This
is regardless of how it impacts MVM’s business.
- Security. Some of government funded programs require that a company provide certain confidential
information in order to be approved and reimbursed (e.g. social security numbers).
MVM has developed a multi- step security protocol that ensures protection of data.
- Flexibility: Our clients can engage us in the capacity that best fits your needs. For
example, you can bring MVM in for a very short engagement to teach you how to
take advantage of government funded programs yourself. You can hire MVM just for the
application services. Or, you can hire MVM to provide all services from
identification through application, negotiation, reporting, etc.
- Follow Through: MVM doesn’t stop representing you after we have received our
fees. MVM has successfully represented our clients (at no cost) in post award closeout
discussions with grant agencies to ensure that close out is final.
